Welcome!
"Our church has been closed by the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church after 137 years of service to our community. We thanks all of our members, past and present, for your support. However, God provides! Christ Lutheran Church has graciously offered us a home within their church. We invite you to join us at the new Yellow Creek Church inside Christ Lutheran Church , at 250 Sexton St in Struthers. We worship at 11:15 am on Sundays, and 6pm on Wednesdays. Come join us at our new home. We would love to see you!? You may contact us at (234) 228-8067 or by emaIL at struthersumc@gmail.com

Chuck Knows Church is a fun and informative series about the "stuff in church." Chuck really does know church!
Meet Pastor Doug Theobald
Meet our Pastor, Doug Theobald. Doug studied at the Methodist Theological School of Ohio, and was ordained in 2007. He has served as Pastor of our church since 2009. Prior to that, he spent 2 years as Pastor of the Lowellville United Methodist Church. He also served as Lay Speaker for the Faith United Methodist Church in Twinsburg, Ohio, prior to being ordained. In addition to his service as Pastor of our church, Doug is also a 30 year career firefighter, a former Lieutenant for the East Cleveland Fire Department, and is now the Newton Falls Fire Chief. Doug is the father of 2 sons and 2 daughters, has 2 grandchildren, and 3 dogs. He is a lifelong Indians fan, and goes nuts for Snoopy and Minions. He also absolutely loves the "children's message" part of our services, most likely because you just never know what will come out of the mouth of a kid!

Prayer Requests/Ask The Pastor
If you have a prayer request that you would like the church to take before The Lord, or if you have a life or Bible question or life situation that you would like assistance from our Pastor with, please Contact Pastor Doug Theobald Please remember that we are a Bible based church, and we will not take things before the Lord that are contrary to the teachings of the Bible. (In other words, if you want us to pray for someone to get away with murder or any similar requests, you're out of luck) However, if you have a difficult situation that you need God's help with, if you are ill, or someone you love has a serious illness, or if you simply feel that you need God's guidance on something, then we will be happy to pray for you as a church. Please remember that this is not a forum for religious debate.
