We would love to see you!

Youth Group and Mission Trips
Our Youth Group is open to all young people who want to enjoy Christian Fellowship with other young Christians, and who have a desire to serve others, following the example of Jesus Christ. If you are a young person and have a desire to truly serve others and help spread God's love, we invite you to serve on a mission trip. We go into areas hit hard by poverty or disaster and help those in need by serving their needs, such as house painting, repairing roofs, building wheelchair ramps, and other home repairs that make a real difference in the lives of those in need. We also share the message of Jesus Christ as we help repair their homes. If you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, consider serving on one of our mission trips. Oh, and we also always have room for adults who want to assist and direct our youth in their missions.

Bible Study
Bible Study with Pastor Suzanne Hill will return beginning on
Monday September 7, 2015, from 10-11:15 am. This study will be
"Favorite Passages from the Old Testament". We hope that you
will be able to join us in this exciting exploration and
examination of God's Word. Be sure to bring your Bible!Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry began in February of
2009 under the leadership of Shirley McClain. Shirley and her
team knit or crochet shawls, filled with their love, and the
spirit of fellowship, and these shawls are then
brought to the church to receive the blessing of the Pastor, and
the prayers of the congregation. They are then delivered to the
sick, injured, hospitalized, depressed, or those simply
struggling with some hidden problem who are in need of comfort.
The shawl is given along with a card with a prayer and the
name of the person who made the shawl. The recipient can then
wrap themselves up in God's love, the love of our church, and
the prayers of our church. Each shawl is accompanied by the
following prayer: "May
God's grace be upon this shawl, warming, comforting enfolding
and embracing. May this mantle
be a safe haven, a sacred place of security and well being,
sustaining and embracing in good times as well as difficult
ones. May the one who receives this shawl be cradled in
hope, kept in joy, and wrapped in love. Blessed Be!" By
Janet Bristloe. The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets regularly on
Wednesday evenings beginning at 6PM. In early 2015, the ladies
of the Prayer Shawl Ministry had created and delivered their
750th prayer shawl. To date, they have created and delivered
over 780. 800 is not far off! God has surely blessed this
Ministry!
Struthers United Methodist
Church Prayer Chain
If you have
a prayer need, our church would love to include you in our
Prayer Chain. The originator of your Prayer Chain prays for
your need, and then passes it along to the next member of
the chain. When all members in the chain have
prayed for you, the originator of the chain receives the final
request, and the chain is complete. Won't you allow us to bring
your problems or concerns before God? If you have a problem or
concern, and would like us to pray for you in our Prayer Chain,
please contact Fran at frboron@aol.com.
God bless you.
Canfield Fair Booth
Each summer the Struthers United Methodist Church members put on their chefs hats and man the Struthers United Methodist Church booth, serving Hot Dogs, Coney Dogs, the best Sloppy Joes around, french fries, ice cold soft drinks, and more! All proceeds (after expenses) support the operation of the church, and our various ministries. Stop by and see us when you visit the fair and fill up on great food while supporting a great cause!Soldier Boxes
This ministry helps deliver a piece of home to our
soldiers serving overseas, especially those serving in hostile
regions of the world. These boxes contain many things that we take
for granted. These boxes contain candy, toothbrushes and toothpaste,
paper and pencils, Q-Tips, baby wipes, (especially important for
those serving in very hot areas of the world) and many other
everyday items that we at home take for granted. If you are
interested in donating to this ministry, and/or in contributing
items for soldier boxes, please contact Max Crawford at the church
at (330) 755-0179. Pastoral Home Visits
Pastor Theobald regularly visits those who are too ill to make it to church, and those who are shut in and are unable to come to the church. When one of our members cannot make it to church, Pastor Doug is always happy to bring a bit of the church to them.

In Memory of Laverne
"Grandma" Cox
On March 18, 2013, our beloved Laverne Cox, affectionately known as "Grandma", went home to be with the Lord. Grandma was a cornerstone of the church, and a foundation of the United Methodist Women, and the Ladies United in Vision groups. Rest in peace, our dearest Grandma. Well done. Your race is over.
